Barry Archer

Barry is a key member of Burson Buchanan’s specialist energy team, providing expert financial and corporate communications advice to clients across the entire energy sector.

He brings over 20 years of international upstream experience, having managed oil and gas projects in diverse regions including Eastern Europe, the U.S., and MENA. This includes senior leadership roles, notably as a VP with Melrose, a FTSE 250 E&P company. Barry’s deep operational background provides invaluable insight into the sector’s complexities.

Barry is highly experienced in advising on critical areas such as stakeholder management and commercial transactions, with particular in-depth expertise spanning the upstream and midstream oil and gas segments, as well as the wider energy sector including industrial services.

He has overseen mandates/projects for clients including Afentra PLC, Altrad, Hunting PLC, Meren Energy Inc, OEG Group, Rhino Resources and Vaalco Energy.
